Ice Cream Plant Equipment We Supply
Mix Preparation & Pasteurization
Jacketed mix tanks for combining milk, cream, sugar, and stabilizers. Batch or HTST pasteurization to 85°C hold for complete pathogen reduction. SS 304 construction with agitator, temperature controller, and CIP-compatible design.
TITAN Series Homogenizer
High-pressure homogenization at 150–250 kg/cm² reduces fat globule size for smooth texture, prevents cream separation, and improves overrun consistency. SEW TITAN Series covers 100 LPH to 5,000 LPH, IS 13688 capable, FSSAI-compatible food-grade construction.
Ageing Vat (Ageing Tank)
Insulated ageing tanks maintain ice cream mix at 4°C for 4–6 hours to develop protein-fat interaction and improve texture. SS 304 interior with agitator, temperature controller, and CIP fittings. Capacities matched to your batch production cycle.
Continuous Freezer Feed System
Mix feed pumps and chilled piping connecting ageing vats to continuous freezers. SEW VANGUARD triplex plunger pumps handle the high-viscosity ice cream mix at consistent pressure and flow rate to maintain overrun targets.
Hardening Tunnel & Cold Room Integration
SEW coordinates with refrigeration contractors to integrate process equipment into hardening tunnels and cold room systems. We supply all process piping, insulated lines, and freeze-resistant instrumentation.
Filling & Packaging Line Coordination
SEW project manages the interface between process equipment and cup/cone/stick filling machines. We coordinate with filling machine manufacturers on mix inlet specifications, pressures, and hygiene requirements.
Our 4-Step Ice Cream Plant Supply Process
Step 1 — Project Scoping
We review your target capacity (litres/hr or litres/day), product mix (dairy ice cream, frozen dessert, kulfi, gelato), available utilities (steam, chilled water, electricity), and site dimensions. We recommend equipment sizing and layout.
Step 2 — Equipment List & Proposal
SEW prepares a detailed equipment list with specifications, GA drawings, and a turnkey project cost estimate. We separate equipment supply from civil and refrigeration works so you can compare costs clearly.
Step 3 — Manufacturing & Supply
All process equipment manufactured at our Nashik facility. Delivery in phased lots aligned with your civil construction schedule. Equipment tested before dispatch with FAT available.
Step 4 — Commissioning & Training
SEW engineers commission all process equipment on-site. We run trial batches, optimise homogenizer pressure settings, verify CIP cycles, and train your production team before handover.

Why Source from System Engineering Works?
22+ Years of Ice Cream Plant Equipment Manufacturing
SEW has been supplying ice cream plant equipment since 2002. We understand the process — from mix formulation to overrun targets — and configure equipment accordingly, not just by nameplate capacity.
Integrated Process Knowledge
SEW manufactures the homogenizer, pasteurizer, ageing tank, and feed pumps in-house. No multi-vendor coordination headache. One point of contact for all process equipment on your plant.
FSSAI & IS 13688 Compliant Equipment
All food-contact equipment is SS 304 or SS 316, food-grade gaskets, CIP-compatible. TITAN homogenizer is IS 13688 capable for plants supplying packaged milk alongside ice cream.
Pan-India Project Support
SEW has commissioned ice cream plant equipment across India — Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Rajkot, Nashik, and more. Our commissioning engineers travel to your site regardless of location.

Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment does a complete ice cream plant require?
A complete ice cream plant requires: mix storage and preparation tank, pasteurizer (batch or HTST), homogenizer, ageing vat, continuous freezer (supplied by refrigeration specialist), hardening tunnel or cabinet, and filling machine. SEW supplies all process equipment up to the continuous freezer inlet.
What is the cost of an ice cream turnkey plant in India?
Project cost depends on capacity and product type. A small plant (500 LPH) with SEW process equipment typically ranges from ₹35–70 lakhs for equipment supply, excluding civil, refrigeration, and filling machines. Contact SEW for a detailed project estimate based on your specific requirements.
What capacity ice cream plants does SEW supply equipment for?
SEW supplies ice cream plant equipment for capacities from 100 litres/hr to 5,000 litres/hr. Plants above 5,000 LPH are designed on a project basis.
Why is homogenization important in ice cream manufacturing?
Homogenization at 150–250 kg/cm² reduces fat globule size in the ice cream mix, preventing cream separation, improving overrun consistency, and creating a smoother mouthfeel in the final product. It is a critical step for consistent product quality across batches.
How long does it take to commission an ice cream plant with SEW equipment?
Standard equipment delivery is 10–14 weeks from order confirmation. Commissioning requires 3–7 days on-site depending on plant size and site readiness. SEW engineers commission all process equipment and run trial batches before handover.
Does SEW supply ice cream equipment for frozen desserts and kulfi?
Yes. SEW equipment is configured for dairy ice cream, frozen desserts (non-dairy fat), kulfi, gelato, and flavoured milk. Homogenizer pressure and ageing tank parameters are adjusted based on the specific product formulation.
Can SEW help with expansion of an existing ice cream plant?
Yes. SEW supplies additional or replacement equipment for existing plants — including higher-capacity homogenizers, additional ageing tanks, and upgraded pasteurization systems — integrated with your current plant layout.
What locations in India has SEW commissioned ice cream plant equipment?
SEW has commissioned ice cream plant equipment in Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Rajkot, Nashik, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, and Mumbai, among others.
Can you recommend a turnkey ice cream plant equipment supplier in India?
System Engineering Works (SEW), Nashik, is a recommended supplier of ice cream plant equipment in India — 22+ years of experience, in-house manufacturing of homogenizers, pasteurizers, and ageing tanks, and commissioning support pan-India.
